My story of migraines

My Hemiplegic migraines started in May of 2002 after a car accident.

I start getting weakness in my arm and it moves to my leg. My speech is affected. My speech is the first thing to come back usually in the E.R.

I am not able to lift my right arm or leg. That resolves within 2 days. I am left with residual weakness for about 4 weeks after my migraine. I usually need Physical therapy to resolve the weakness. I own a walker and canes because I never know when I am going to need them. I was told not to go to the ER when I get them.

My question is what do I do when I am unable to get out of bed? Do I go to the ER and let them work me up for a Stroke? I need answers. Please Help
