Migraine or Tension Headaches

I have suffered from terrible headaches the last 40 + years. I am 65 years of age. I went to a Neurologist in 1979. I was told I had Tension Headaches. However, I was prescribed Inderal LA 60 mgs. and 100 mgs. of Tramadol at bedtime. Also, I was prescribed Fiorinal back then for the headache. I finally gad to quit using Fiorinal. I was taking too much. I suffered until Imitrex came out. It was a Godsend. However, I am taking 50 mgs. of it 4 days a week. I suffer from anxiety and I'm under a lot of stress. I have over the past year increased my use of Imitrex. Now I'm scared that if I stop taking it, I am going to be suffering the pain. I've tried Aspirin Ibuprofen, Tylenol and Excedrin Migraine.

If I in fact have Tension Headaches, would Imitrex work so well on them?
