Found my cure after 7+ years, I hope this helps you too

I've been suffering daily migraines for over 7 years. I've taken every medication ie: Topamax, Depakote, Nortriptaline, Xanax, Gabapentin & of course the usual meds to treat the pain ie: Maxalt, Relpax, Sumaval, Emerge and even had Botox injections in my head, neck & face. Nothing helped me & I was in bed, in pain nearly every single day.

I didn't just get migraines a few times a month, mine were diagnosed as "chronic daily migraines".

Well, after 2 neurologists, 3 ENT's, several primary care dr's & endocrinologist's (yes, I tried everything), I found that the problem wasn't in my "head" but instead in my jaw! Turns out stress affects everyone different & we've all heard about how bad grinding your teeth can be & if you're like me, you were already using a "night guard". Well, because I was & thought I had that covered, I never in a million years would've believed the migraines were from my jaw. But, most night guards only cover your teeth & they still allow your teeth to touch. That isn't preventing TMJ. Anytime your back teeth come together, it engages the TMJ joint & too much stress on that joint will trigger a migraine.

Again, it took me 7 + years to figure this out & the cure isn't a quick one. I've been using a specially designed TMJ split (it's a 24 hour a day "splint" that prevents my back teeth from touching) and it was almost $4k. BUT, I've spent more than that in one year on migraine medications that will never cure my issue. Now, I've been using the splints for almost a year now & I'm still battling (mostly because my TMJ dentist isn't very nice & didn't prescribe me any muscle relaxer or anti inflammant to use in the beginning of my treatment) but now that i'm on anti inflammants, my jaw is finally able to relax & i can feel the difference.

If you're not sure if this will work for you, try a dr. prescribed anti inflammant (Aleve didn't work for me) & if your migraines go away with an anti inflammant, "inflammation" is most likely your problem. I thought I had lymes diseas, a tumor, fibromyalgia & I was literally praying to die every day because of the daily migraines. My neurologist REFUSED to prescribe me an anti inflammant even though I asked him to. I even went throug the drastic measure of having breast implants extracted (that i had for 11 years & never had any problems with them) because I couldn't find a way to get rid of the migraines & i thought i had some horrible systemic disease from them. But, after I had them out, I was still having daily migraines a year later. So, I knew that wasn't it. I knew that something was wrong with me & I remembered that during a bad seasonal allergy attack, I was on prednisone for a week (prescribed by an allergist) & guess what? No migraines that week! of course, I ran to my neurologist to tell him & he of course told me 1 had nothing to do with the other BUT he was wrong. Remember the "inflammation" i mentioned earlier...well, prednisone calms inflammation! Now, prednisone is not good to be on long term, that's why I suggest you get a dr. to at least try you on anti inflammant for a few weeks & if you're anything like me, you will notice within days that your migraines are gone. Mine always started with a stuffy nose & "aura" & then within a 1/2 hour, I was in sever pain & couldn't function. I pray that this information will help at least some of you. Good luck & God bless.
