If I skip breakfast in the morning, it’s a sure-fire way to set myself up for a future migraine. But, I don’t always have the time to prepare an elaborate breakfast.
It’s one of the many reasons I love having a smoothie for breakfast. I can pack a lot of nutrients into my first meal of the day. But I also want to make sure that I’m not packing any migraine triggers into that smoothie.
Finding migraine food trigger replacements
Many people are triggered by bananas and avocado – two of my best strategies for making a smoothie extra creamy. So, this is my latest addition is a great replacement and nutrient-packed – frozen cauliflower! I know it sounds odd, but don’t knock it until you tried it!
