Trying to describe a migraine attack while it’s happening

Hi, friends! I decided to record myself in the beginning part of a recent migraine attack. It’s not the most glamorous depiction of myself I’ve ever seen, but it is a pretty accurate look at how my migraines often manifest before major pain sets in.

Can you identify with any of what I describe? Please share your stories in the comments!

Always sorry to see a fellow warrior. But thank you for your video, I’ll show it to my husband. I have experienced the mood changes of anger, irritability, and been tough on my husband who does nothing wrong. Also food cravings. These happen maybe before the pain comes on or during it. I also get hot flashes mostly during the really bad migraines even tho I’m 59 and thought I was long thru menopause. So I do think there is a hormonal link among all of this.
Have a relatively pain free day everyone!Leslie C.

I haven’t had a migraine for about three months, so I was thinking maybe things had improved. Then, on Monday night, I was in such a furious mood and lo and behold, the migraine struck last night. Now I’m wondering if I there’s a correlation, which after all these years I should have recognized, but who knows? I also seemed to want to just eat entirely too much for my own good the few days before it hit as well. Sometimes this is why I’m wondering if mine are associated with estrogen spikes or something.

You seem pretty normal to me. lol

On the right of my screen are advertisements. It makes me laugh every time I see the “Migraine in America” View the results of our 2015 landmark study. The graphic used is a person sitting on an office chair with their elbows in knees and head in hands. At first glance it always makes me think of someone sitting on the toilet. Just had to say that. Have a great day!

There’s someone in my head but it’s not me.
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
It’s just been a weird day.
