"Mommy My Head Hurts"

Since I was a child around 6 years old coming home from kindergarten saying “Mommy my head hurts”. I was told that I would have dinner and then eventually vomit and go to bed.

Migraine at work

Having had migraines for so long I didn’t think they were such an issue for me until 2015 when after not vomiting with migraine in years I started to again. They were feeling stronger and affecting my work.

Trying everything

I started migraines injections in July 2019 (even had to apply for free medication), I completed physical therapy, had an MRI, ER visit, anti-blue light glasses, tried antidepressants (which can help with migraines). I have my migraine diary dating back to 2017, and even my neurologist suggested the family leave act which I don’t qualify for.

Botox for migraine relief

Finally, in December 2020 I was approved for Botox and accepted that I needed more treatment.
Currently on my 2nd round of Botox, I believe it is helping me! I’m sharing my story to bring awareness to migraines and all the patients that suffer from this disease.
