What’s your migraine story?

In just seven months since the launch of Migraine.com, hundreds of you have shared your story with the community. We have been overwhelmed by the response, as well as the individual stories which can be both inspirational and heartbreaking. As many of you already know, it is important to share these stories for a number of reasons. Sharing stories gives us the opportunity to learn from each others’ experiences, provide support, and educate the broader community. As a way to thank everyone who took the time to submit their own story, we will begin posting featured stories to our Facebook page as well as via Twitter.

We are also excited to introduce our first featured patient story from Migraine Advocate Cindy McCain, wife of Arizona Senator and former Presidential candidate, John McCain. Mrs. McCain’s efforts have been instrumental in increasing migraine awareness, and we are thrilled to share her story with you.

For those of you who haven’t shared your story yet, you can still submit your story! Even better -we will select the lucky winner of an iPad once we hit 500 entries.

Last but not least, if you submitted a story but prefer not to be featured, please send us a note at contact@migraine.com!

I’m suffering from the affects of two migrain attacks in two days.Troubled with a sparkly bit in my vision that’s not gone away like it usually does.Any body out there had similar or should I get it checked out. Feel sick and got a bad headache. Had migrain attacks since I was six years old.I get classic migrain with aura. Strobing zig zaggy lines bright and sparkling in silver blue and red colours. Usually lasts around thirty minutes then the one sided headache comes on and the nausea.face tingles and some times my arm and hand. Feel clumsy for a few days. not good but you learn to live with it. I can go months without an attack and then wham I get a cluster of them!
