24/7 low level headache plus periodic migraines

Does anyone have a constant 24/7 headache in addition to periodic migraines. Any luck with treatment ?
My 24/7 headache started 8 years ago although i have had migraines forever. I keep a daily journal and I have experienced one headache free period of 4 hours that occured 2 and 1/2 years ago being outside on a pleasant snowy winter day, not too cold. I have tried to recreate that day several times with little success. The doctors have treated my periodic migraines with Flunarizine for prevention and Zolmitriptan for migraine attacks with at least some results, reducing the migraine attacks to 4 or 5 per month. But they have no clue
about the 24/7 low level headache. They also have little faith in a patient’s journal. Any ideas would be appreciated !

  1. hi there! So sorry to hear about the constant headaches. I have been diagnosed with chronic daily headache along with chronic migraine. I take a lot of Excedrin to taper the daily headaches and use Aimovig 140 mg monthly. I also have my nasal sumatriptan for abortive treatment. This is an older story but just wanted you to know that there is hope: https://migraine.com/stories/there-is-help-for-the-chronic-daily-headache-sufferer. I hope that you find someone, or something, to help you soon!! (Tonya, team member).
