Allergic reaction to Sumatriptan?
i was prescribed sumatriptan 50mg (imtrex) by my doctor for migraine attacks. The first time i took a pill, my face swelled up within a few minutes- within 5 it was bright red, puffy, hot to the touch and i was in absolute agony. My eyes were burning and slightly puffy and my muscles felt weak and floppy. worst part my head still really really hurtđ!! has anyone else had this happen?
oh my goodness, I can't imagine how scary that must have been to experience! And to have gone through all those symptoms and not even get relief must have been incredibly frustrating. If you haven't done so already, I would definitely reach out to your doctor and even the pharmacist. They may each give a slightly different perspective. The pharmacist in particular may be able to best speak to any potential interactions you may have from any other medications or supplements that you're taking.
