Don't get migraine when I have a cold or flu

Does anyone else experience this? When I get a prolonged illness (usually a cold turning into bronchitis that lasts ages), I notice I don't get my usual 1-2 migraines a week. I was just wondering about the 'gateway theory' of pain... and if this had anything to do with it.

  1. Hi kelgar,

Thank you for your question. I'm not as lucky as you as a cold, virus or other illness may (and usually does) trigger a migraine attack or nasty cycle.

I'm not sure if the gateway theory applies here, but anything seems to be possible with migraine.

    Take good care,
    Nancy
