Does anyone have a good neurologist in the Boston, MA area?

I just don't know who to see

  1. I used to go to Dr. Bana at Faulkner Institute in Jamaica Plains. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. (My insurance won't pay for out of state visits). His number is 617-524-3700. He had me tested for all kinds of things trying to narrow down what could be causing my migraines. We ruled out pseudotumor cerebri, hormones, overweight/blood pressure, nicotine, caffeine...... I had CT scan, MRI, lumbar puncture for testing. I'd go back to him in a second just can't afford to pay for it on my own.

    1. Caroline Bernstein, MD in Brookline is amazing. I only left because I moved. She specializes in migraines.

      1. Hi daggs85,

Let me give you the list of doctors who are board certified in headache medicine, which is different than being certified in neurology; https://www.ucns.org/globals/axon/assets/12644.pdf.

Let us know how you make out!
        Nancy

        1. The doctors at the Graham Headache Center at Faulkner are good, thorough. I saw Dr. Mathew. I'd also suggests Dr. Brian McGeeney at BMC. He comes highly recommended. I tried to get in to see him before I left the area, but the wait was too long. Good luck!
