I want to preface this post by saying I'm a 25-year-old male with no history of any medical problems.
Hoping someone can help me out here. Around 3 months ago, I started getting a weird pressure like headache above my eyes (the left eye is much worse than the right) (see picture attached
It started off only happening a couple of hours of the day (gets worse in bright lights or if I strain my eyes), but progressively got worse and worse, and now it's constant. Sometimes it's at a 3, and other times it's at an 8, but it's always there. At times I feel like my eye is going to pop out of my head from the pressure. This happened to me before around 8 months ago and lasted approximately 3 weeks but wasn't as bad. I went to my family doctor, and he told me it's probably a sinus issue. When it came back again in September, I thought it was the same and was put on antibiotics, but nothing worked. I kept thinking that it would just be something that is going to go away, but it didn't. It got so bad to the point that it was affecting my day to day life. Work was hell. I couldn't go out.
I ended up going to an ENT, and he ordered a CT scan, and that came back clear. Then I went to a Neurologist, they ordered a brain MRI with Contrast, and that came back completely normal. They don't know what's wrong with me. My Neuro told me that it's probably some sort of weird migrainous headache, and she told me to take a 6-day course of steroids to try to break the cycle (Medrol Dose Pack) and to start taking 400mg Magnesium and 400 Vitamin B2 daily. It calmed down the pressure/pain by around 30%, but now it's just constant and has been so for at least a month and a half. I have scoured the internet trying to find someone that has had something similar and cannot find anything. Now they want to put me on preventative treatment, but I have not yet started it.
I've also gone and got my eyes checked with an Optometrist and a Neuro-ophthalmologist, and my Thyroids checked, and everything was perfect.
Has anyone had similar symptoms? Looking for any advice here. Thanks so much.
