I almost killed myself trying that....
any recommendations would be greatly appreciated
Finding a headache specialist is important for sure. My husband has gone through MOH cycles over the years of treatment trials and it was terrible for him. I have a friend who has had a good experience with Panda Neurology & Atlanta Headache Specialists in Atlanta. They may be worth looking up if they are close to your location. Keep us posted. Hi Cheryl, I know you don't want to give a specific name on this website, but I'd REALLY like to know who you friend sees at this practice. I did see someone in this practice 5 years ago and that doctor was the 'useless' one. how can I get in touch with you?

I'm glad that Nancy gave you resources for a migraine specialist in your area to find someone who can support you in this process. I also thought you might find this article interesting about the various ways to address MOH and the success rate tied to each approach: https://migraine.com/blog/medication-overuse-headache-approaches-studied-then-followed-up-4-years-later. Looks like the highest success would be tied to finding an effective prevention treatment medication to help offset the attacks and frequent/daily pain. This goes back to the importance of finding a good relationship with a migraine specialist. Sounds like you've been through a lot. What's your support system like? We're here for you as you move through this process - please stay in touch. Warmly- Holly -migraine.com team.
