Anyone have Parethesia for days?

I have had Parethesia now for four days. It seems like it's moving around and varying in intensity! This morning I woke up with it mainly in my leg, but off and on throughout the day, it's been in my face, hands, scalp. Not really a headache with it, but feel like it could be a silent migraine.

Totally freaked out. Thinking if it were a stroke something would of happened by now?? BTW I was in the ER two nights ago for severe chest pain. They did a CAT w/dye that I had a slight reaction to. I was already having the tingling then and the dr wasn't even concerned about that.

It's too expensive to keep running to the ER so I'd like some input if others have ever had this w or without migraine and if so, if it's ever lasted for days!

  1. Hi tedone,

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. And I agree, the ER is not the best place to be treated for migraine attacks.

When we have new and/or different symptoms, patterns and/or extended symptoms, it's always a good idea to discuss them with the doctor. If you haven't had a chance to talk to him, I would encourage to do so as soon as possible.

Please let us know how you make out,
    Nancy

    1. Hi Tedone:
Have you ever been diagnosed with panic attacks? I used to get them - although mine manifested with the feeling like I was having a heart attack and not being able to get enough air into my lungs. Mine were really bad at night. I ended up going to the emergency room twice adn they didn't find anything - but they also didn't realize it was a panic attack. I agree with the moderator - any new or different migraine symptoms should be discussed with your doctor to rule out anything else. The emergency room is not really for diagnosing things - more for making sure you are healthy enough to leave the emergency room.
