Progressive lenses were the cause

Started getting migraine auras twice a week with three days of pain each time five years ago. Keep telling the doctors I had just gotten new glasses but the optometrist, ophthalmologist, Neuro ophthalmologist, and two neurologists all said it couldn’t be the glasses - it had to be my brain. After an MRI, new glasses, FL filters, epileptic drugs, migraine drugs that made me blind for 20 minutes, and decreasing or stopping all possible supplements and foods that could be triggers nothing improved. Finally decided to try my previous classes and the migraines went away. When I compare the two I now realize that the prescription area of the new glasses is teeny tiny and gets blurred very quickly and in the old cheaper Costco glasses had a lovely span of prescription all the way across the lens. Just glad to have found a permanent solution and wanted to pass this on as I found it nowhere else.

  1. Thanks for taking the time to share this with us ! I am so glad you trusted your instincts about the glasses being wrong, and you are feeling better as a result. We appreciate your taking the time to write this! ~Melanie (team member)
