Pulsating Temple Anyone?

My migraines always start as a throbbing pain in my
Left eye
and then moving to my left temple
it feels dull and then it pulsates. Sometimes i feel it in ear and my cheek. It moves around. Anyone ever experience any
Of this or similiar ?!?

  1. hi there. I have not experienced quite what you are going through. I am sorry to hear about all of this for you. I know how hard it can be, especially when it is not something that is very common. I came upon this article and wanted to share it with you: https://migraine.com/clinical/cgrp-treating-trigeminal-nerve-dysfunction. I have had pain in one eye, but it does not radiate like your pain does. Is this something new? I know you already know, but, if you have not shared it with your provider, I would encourage that as well. Let us know what you find out. Please hang in there as I know that there is someone else who has gone through this. (Tonya, migraine.com contributor).

    1. oh that's great that you're expecting a call today!

    2. glad that you enjoyed the article. It is good that your doctor is aware also. We are all do different with caffeine. Sometimes our bodies grow to rely on it. I am like you. Caffeine does not trigger a migraine, but for some, it does. I am glad that when you have a migraine, caffeine is helpful. I hope that it went well today. (Tonya, migraine.com contributor).

  2. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this pain. I have experienced similar pain in the earlier days of migraine. It's obviously hard to truly compare experiences, but I can at least tell you that you're not alone in this. Have you met with a headache specialist or neurologist yet? They're really best qualified to give you a proper exam and then a treatment plan based on that. Have you tried any medications or other therapies yet?

  3. Hi Alene, thank you for reaching out. Oh so you had similiar in your early days. Yes, my neuro gave, me pred no migraines for 4 days then they came back, triptans worked for that day then they came back and Depakote didn't work at all. Now I noticed as soon as I drink coffee within 20 mins migraine goes away and doesn't usually comes back till 8pm or midnight. So strange and its always responds to Excedrin and I can't take that every day or I would. Left a message for Neuro for next therapy. Francesca
