Rizatriptan / Triptan medicine less effektive since beginning with CGRP
Hi, has anyone experienced that their abortive medicine (in my case "Maxalt", a rizatriptan) is working less effective or not at all since they have started using CGRP (in my case Aimovig)? Please share! If so, have you found another medicine to replace the triptans?

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. I've heard a mixed bag about triptans not being as effective and being more effective. I'm sure others will be along shortly to share their experiences with you.
I can tell you it's not uncommon to need to switch up our triptans, whether it's the delivery system or different one altogether. A different delivery system may be necessary and something you can discuss with your doctor. I'm not able to take the pill form of triptans, but can take the nasal spray. If you take the pill form of Maxalt, maybe try the melt tab? Just a thought.
