    1. oh my!! Wow. What a journey you had. I am glad that you finally got it though. I do not think I have known anyone who went through all that. But...as long as it ended favorably for you, I would say it was worth it. I have filed for disability before, do get it, but it was a journey. Do you have any tips for someone looking to file for disability? (Tonya, migraine.com contributor).

    2. thank you for the caring comments here. I hope that you are doing well this holiday Monday. (Tonya, migraine.com contributor).

  2. Hi there! I hate that we’re bonded by Chronic Migraine attacks. Hopefully we can learn from each other coping skills/tools. I know most of my triggers but I’m always open to hearing what others are doing to manage.

    1. it's wonderful to meet you, although as you said, the thread that unites us - migraine - isn't the most pleasant to say the least! You have a great outlook though and it's true this community has a collective wealth of knowledge that is so helpful to tap into and share.

  4. My name is Jane, My migraines started while I was in 3rd grade. It took doctors quite awhile to realize they are episodic migraines. I now have chronic migraines. I am 75 and try to manage with botox, aimovig, and gabapentin. I have suffered strokes due to migraines.

    1. It's such a shame that you may have to stop something that's helped you a lot! Did you have a preventative that worked for you before? Is the gabapentin for pain or for the seizures?
      Warmly, Tracy (Team Member)

    2. The pizotifen helped me but as I had to increase it more so it did my weight too, so stopped it. But not fully helped. Gabapentin is for nerve pain due to spine condition.
