Hi easterli,
Thanks for the question. I'm sorry you've been in extended pain. We really don't like to see migraine pain last longer than 72 hours as it increases our risk of status migrainous and stroke. When you get a moment take a look at this information; https://migraine.com/blog/what-is-emergency/.
It's important to break this current cycle. When I've had a nasty migraine attack cycle that wouldn't break I've had an infusion and/or a steroid dose pack. In fact a few weeks ago I had to seek out this treatment for an extended migraine attack. However, my blood pressure was so elevated they wouldn't treat me and sent me to urgent care to get it down. After two doses of clonidine, both my blood pressure and migraine were better. It's not uncommon for blood pressure to increase with pain, but mine was WAY high.
Ok, enough about me! I would encourage you to speak with your doctor as soon as possible to have him help you break this cycle.
Fingers crossed it ends soon. Will you let me know how you are doing?
Nancy
