So this rarely ever happens to me. I’ve had migraines since about middle school up until now, and I’m a junior in college. In that period I’ve only had this happen maybe 3 or 4 times. I’ve had two recent migraines that had this and they were only separated by a week.
Every time I get a migraine it’s always preceded by an aura, which I know a lot of people have. Almost always the aura starts off small in my vision and expands outward toward the right side of my vision eventually leaving outside my peripherals. One night I was driving and I started getting an aura, what’s strange is that instead of expanding to the right this one went left, and expanded outward toward the left side of my vision. The migraine headache that followed was an incredibly painful one-sided headache. About a week later I get the same thing, the aura going off to the left side of my vision and an incredibly painful one-sided he ache.
I was wondering if this was cause for concern or if it had any meaning? It has only happened maybe once in the past. It might’ve been middle school or high school the last time the aura switched to the left side. I don’t know if it’s stress related or what, I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this. I am a little worried just because my auras are always on the right side of my vision. I also don’t know why these left-sided auras are the cause of the very painful one-sided headache?
