Water filters for migraines?

Hi guys, I don't sufer from migraines myself but really feel for those who do. I have a close family member who gets migraines pretty badly. I was wondering if it's possible that trace contaminants in the water are a possible cause? I know there's a little bit of lead, and even pesticides in water pretty commonly (sadly) and there's no way our bodes don't react to it. I guess someone very sensitive might have bigger issues like migraines. If anyone has a water filter, do you have any recommendations? I was thinking of the "clearlyfiltered" one on this site i saw - https://whatwaterfilter.com/best-water-filter-removes-pesticides/
Does that seem reasonable? We are looking for one that genuinely filters everything out, not the walmart kind of ones that really don't do much chemically, like brita or whatever. That's why I'm looking all over the place for the really good ones.... Thank you for any advice you can give. 😀

  1. Didn't add this:

the other option is reverse osmosis of course, but I'v heard that apparently the filter works too well or something? and the mineral content is reduced so that it actually pulls minerals out of your body? So it's actualy not so good. I'm trying to think of everything, what with how sensitive my relative is..

    1. Thank you for your input. Good to hear you don't have migraine!! How wonderful you are to be interested and compassionate for family members who do!
Migraine is a neurological disease falling on a spectrum from mild to severely debilitating. Here is a great article that explains migraine being similar to asthma (another chronic illness) https://migraine.com/search?s=histamine.
There are many things that may trigger a migraine attack. Mineral depletion can certainly impact some of us with migraine. We have more on this topic here; https://migraine.com/search?s=mineral%20depletion.
