An appreciative fan

Dear Friends,

Thank you! After 28 years of migraines, I am thrilled to see support popping up all over the web. Your site is comprehensive, sensitive and real, and I appreciate the connection more than I can say. As you know, daily chronic headaches/migraines can leave us feeling isolated and hopeless. Being able to tap into a community that understands is huge. I was surprised to find that here, in St. Louis, there are no support groups exclusively for migraineurs. I’m thinking about starting one, but the catch-22 of it all is I need to get past the pain to do much of anything. In the meantime, I can turn to your site for strength and support and again, I thank you.

    Sharon,

We’re so glad you’ve found us here, and I hope that you will consider making Migraine.com your home for Migraine information and support. Like you I’m thrilled to see the number of members that have joined us in the few weeks since we went live. The stories here make me so proud that so many are becoming proactive patients for better health for themselves and their families. It’s hard to read some of the stories, yes. But each story emphasizes the real people behind the disabling disease that is Migraine.

Until you find or create your support group near St Louis, I hope you will continue visiting us here both as a great place of support, but also as a place that welcomes your participation and action as a volunteer with open arms as well. As far as I’m concerned, there’s no such thing as being too supportive.

Thank you for letting us all know that we are making a difference. That means so much to us… 🙂
