Brain Fog with Migraine

When I have a really bad migraine I suffer from what I call my brain fog. I can't think of words I want to say. My train of thought goes haywire.

I experience the same thing. I just tell my family that my brain isn't working, but it's incredibly frustrating for me and them.

 Hi <inline-mention user-id="3878800" username="saraphim33"/> , I believe I replied to another comment that you left earlier. I have struggled so much with migraine and my family life, particularly when my kids were very small, so I hear you and I understand- whenever those guilty feelings arise, I try and remember that I did the best that I could with how I was feeling. Have you had any luck with finding a preventative treatment that helps to reduce the intensity or frequency of your migraine attacks? Warmly, Melanie (team member)

 I am currently on Ajovy the once a month shot and while I still have migraines

I suffer from aura as prodrome and aphasia and numbing of one side of my body

 Thanks FOR YOUR RESPONSE and concern,,I take ergotamine with aspirin an cafein = SYDOLIL At the first prodrome..(aura) I always carry in my wallet 2 pills as abortive Regards,,

This is quite common. Aphasia (loss of words), confusion, difficulty focusing, etc are all symptoms I experience also. Partly from the pain (hard to think when the pain is so great) and partly as actual symptoms of the neurological condition. Thankfully, my friends and family are incredibly understanding. If it occurs in public , I do my best to explain I am having a migraine flare or just remove myself from the situation if at all possible. I wish you the best in making it through and out of the fog.
