Imitrex Injections (Sumatriptan) for Migraine

I'm a 66yr old male. I've had severe migraines from 16 to 40 years old with no relief from meds other than strong pain pills that would knock me out and sometimes I still had it when I woke up!

Using an auto-injector for migraine

That's when I found Imitrex but, pill or nasal spray did nothing. At that time only a doctor could give it to you as an injection and it worked. So after many trips to the doctor many times getting sick out the window on the way, they came out with a home-use kit with an auto-injector, and most times 1 or 2 hours and it would be gone. They were very costly at that time but now there is a generic (Sumatriptan).

Now I only get one 2 or 3 times a month but the shot still works great for me even at work! So I am very thankful that I have my life back!
