Why Won’t Insurance Help Me?

I have had migraines since I was a teenager. Now in my 60s I finally found something that actually works!

I was given a 2-month sample of Qulipta which is a brand new CGRP daily preventative treatment for migraines. In two months I only had ONE MIGRAINE!!!

Of course, I am fighting with my insurance company of which I pay a monthly premium of $700.00 to approve this medicine. What is the point of all these new drugs that work for you when you can’t get them!

So frustrating going from 15 migraines a month to 1???? Sorry too bad it’s too expensive we won’t allow it.

I have been fighting chronic daily migraines for 27 years and have tried everything and I really do mean everything. I was so disheartened to find out my insurance wouldn’t cover it all.
