So Many Headaches
The first time I had a migraine headache I was in middle school and had no idea what was happening to me. All I knew is that my head hurt and I was very ill. The school called me mom and she instructed me to walk home. I'm not even sure how I got there, but I do recall throwing up along the way.
Another one didn't hit until I was in my 20's, but in my 30's they began in earnest and became chronic so I was having more headache days per month than not. I have had traditional migraine, ocular migraine, and chronic migraine. It's the chronic migraine that seriously impacts my quality of life and ability to do my job.
I'm a teacher and a single mother. It feels like I've tried almost everything. Drugs, preventative drugs, chiropractic care, massage, I had my PFO closed. The only thing that has given me any real relief has been the steroid/lidocaine shot my GP in San Diego used to give me. Since moving, I've not found another doctor who will do it. I thought I had found one, but he wanted me to try botox instead. The botox is making me feel worse :(
Getting very frustrated with this and my kids come back to school on Wednesday. Right now I'll be a crap teacher to 26 4 year olds.
