Ask Your Neurologist to Order an MRI

For years I was having what I thought was the aura that comes before a migraine, even though the painful migraine never arrived. Lately, I had also been having additional physical difficulties and it took very little to make me very frustrated and angry. I went to a neurologist last year who ordered an MRI for me and we got to the root of the problem.

Migraines totally dominate, especially when you've had them from such a young age. Can't get overly excited = migraines as a kid, sport/sustained high exertion = migraines, high humidity = migraines, sustained stressful situations/grief = migraines, seriously lengthy heavy menstruation = migraines, hot weather = migraines and the list is truly endless. You have had more than you're share of emotional pain and grief, on top of being a migraine sufferer. I had migraines since the age of 8, grew up with domestic violence, an extremely violent father who also liked to torment and manipulate you mentally, he also liked to let you know he could kill you, if you didn't do this or that. As a migraine sufferer, makes managing "nerves" difficult. I would have memory loss of words completely, in school, in tests could not recall the word, let alone how to spell it. I truly feel for you, we just have to accept our limitations, and work/live within these boundaries, as frustrating as these are at times. Sometimes we are simply our own worst enemy, because we fail to love ourselves, just as we are. If we can't do that for ourselves, no-one else will. You're worth it, you're a precious person with the biggest heart, take a big breath, look around, there is so much in life still to enjoy, even with migraines. Sending lots of love, care and peace.
