New to the migraine hell....o

Hello I'm 42ish and just recently started having these really bad headaches. It didn't occur to me that they where migraines until they started happening more frequently. I have never experienced so much head pain in my entire life.
I went to my family dr and got a response that they where tension/stress headaches. He put me on a med that I had a severe reaction to and so far I am dealing with these miserable things with just Tylenol (which doesn't work).
I really don't feel that is the case. My last one caused me to be immobile most of the day and even effected thinking so bad I forgot my husbands name. Looking forward to trying meeting others and hopefully find some helpful tips and maybe some answers.
