Starry Dreams: A Poem

I try once and I fail.
I try twice, then set sail
To find hope elsewhere.

I try thrice and I am full of despair.
I should have given up already.
But it’s too late.

Unlike my peers, I struggle a lot
With things that are easy for them
To grasp and digest.

I tend to lose the stream of thought.
I put processes in place.
I put in extra effort and plead for a miracle.

There’s no miracle, not yet.
But there are miracles in the universe at large.
One day, I’ll be free and set sail for another star.
