Glaucoma Eyedrops

I ran across an anecdotal report that latanoprost prevents migraines (Cessation of migraines in a woman with low-tension glaucoma following the use of latanoprost: a favourable side effect? http://www.nature.com/eye/journal/v21/n2/full/6702548a.html). Has anyone enjoyed a positive benefit associated with glaucoma meds?

  1. Hi Wolverine6,

Thank you for your question. It's certainly possible, as seen in the 2oo7 study you shared, but I don't receive such benefits. Being a glaucoma suspect and having taken that medication, it did not relieve my attacks.

Of course, that doesn't mean it won't for others with glaucoma!

    1. Hello Nancy,
Which glaucoma meds do/did you take? Prostaglandin? Beta-blocker? Other? The article refers to lantanoprost which is a prostaglandin F2 alpha analogue.
