How long did it take to see improvements with Ajovy for migraine?
I received my first Ajovy injection about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, I just had my monthly cycle and felt like it was about the same if not worse with the menstrual migraines.
Is it too soon to notice much of an effect with the Ajovy? Neuro says it could take 4-6 weeks 😬 and to stay on it for at least 3 months.
Your doc is right, Liz. Most of the time, it can take at least a month to see changes begin, sorry to say. Of course, you can always decide to stop for any reason. Typical 3mo is the norm but also can start feeling some improvement earlier and that’s a good sign. Seems it has a accumulative effects.
I noticed positive results in 2 mo and got exponentially better for me especially with ubrelvy for abortive. I was on aimovig before and liked it until it stopped working but Ajovy is extra slow special out of all of the anti-CGRP ones presently since it blocks the CGRP receptor cite and blocks the protein too! The other ones only block one or the other. Some thing like that
