Any helpful supportive migraine/headache apps?

Hey friends, I've been using a few different apps for a while now to help manage my migraine and headaches – Migraine Buddy for tracking, and Curable + Insight Timer for relaxation and guided support. I’ve had mixed experiences! Curious to hear what you're using, if any – what you like/dislike, and are they actually helping? Thanks for your insights.

  1. Great question, ! Apps can be so helpful these days, especially if one finds the "right" one (the one that they find most helpful) for managing symptoms. While we wait for other community members to chime in with what apps they find helpful, I wanted to share a couple of links with you. This one, https://migraine.com/stories/attached-device-helpful-apps-use, includes some of the apps that this member finds helpful (not just for managing migraines, but in general), and the comments section of this article, https://migraine.com/blog/using-digital-journals might interest you. The article is almost ten years old, so I'm not sure which of the apps might still be available, but the comment section is filled with various people's recommendations.

Do you have pros and cons for Migraine Buddy and Curable + Insight Timer? Is there anything in particular you're looking for?

Hopefully you can some helpful insights here! -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

    1. Thank you for coming back to me ! My app feedback at this stage (and I'm super keen to hear what others think) is:

      Migraine Buddy:
      + Super detailed tracking
+ Comprehensive database of symptoms and medications
      + Medically aligned reporting
      - Super detailed tracking (can be challenging day-to-day... takes so long)
      - Reporting, not sure how many medicos have time to engage with the reporting detail in a typical consult
      - Primary focus is tracking, complimentary support feels second tier

      Insight Timer
+ Huge library of guided mind/body/talk options
+ Constantly improving the user experience
      + Excellent guides/teachers
      - can be hard to sift through the hugh library to find what you want
      - so content it can be confusing
      - audio quality can be quite bad for a lot of teachers

I really feel there is a need for more day-to-day complimentary support apps that support our mental and physical optimal health, every day, which is such a vital part of our healing journey – beyond our medications and only occasional specialist checkins, mostly to do with meds.

I may be wrong here though! Am I the only one craving this support or is there just not enough awareness/belief in the power we have to better support and heal ourselves?
