Any Ideas for a Bug/Insect Spray that Won't Trigger a Migraine Attack?

With mosquito season upon us, we'd be interested in gathering any suggestions you might have for an effective odorless insect repellent. For many of us, scents are migraine triggers - and it can be difficult to find odorless sprays. I would also like to find something without DEET in it, if possible. Thanks in advance for your input!

  1. I have found that Jungle formula is pretty good, which am sure is available from Amazon.

  2. this discussion is so timely! We just moved into a town where there are so many mosquitos, and I've been looking forward to spending more time outside with the cooler weather just around the corner. I've been using a bug spray that's essential oil based. I know not everyone with migraine does well with essential oils but for me it works. I'm excited to hear other's response to your question here too!

    1. Hi - what a great topic. I was researching this a few weeks back. Started walking the dogs again early morning and have been bitten a lot. This scares me because mosquitos carrying West Nile disease and other illnesses are out and about. I can't afford to get any of them. I purchased Grandpa Guss's Mosquito Repellent. So far so good. It's made out of plant oils and when sprayed has a lemongrass, mint, and slightly floral scent. I like it. Havent been bitten since. It doesn't affect my asthma, and migraines have been nil due to the scent. Hope other's get a chance to try it. Got it off Amazon. Cheers to you all. Rebecca (Team member)
