Hi ,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. I hear how concerned you are about Botox not working. The thing is migraine prevention medications don't 'cure' migraine disease, rather reduce the frequency and severity of our attacks.
I understand your worry; I've been getting Botox since 8/16 and go through the same thing when I have a "bad" month. I also find I have to be vigilant about my triggers as it nears the time for my next series of injections. Any chance this recent attack is near the time for Botox?
Forgive me if we've discussed this before, but have you had a sleep study? When we wake with migraine pain, it may be an indication of a sleep issue of which there are many. I was waking with daily migraine pain, had a sleep study and discovered I have restless leg and periodic limb movement disorder. These were both contributing to my morning pain. I'm treating them with a muscle relaxer and medical cannabis and wake with fewer morning attacks.
Please keep me posted on how you are doing and fee free to share your thoughts with me!
