Brainstem neurostimulators

I know this is the general forum, but I am posting this here because this forum seems to have the highest traffic. My son, the headache patient who cannot use the computer or read, remembers that I told him many months ago about a woman from Australia who had a neurostimulator attached to her brainstem. I can't remember where I read about it, but I am interested in getting more information about it, especially if any doctor does this in the states.
