Donating Medication

Hi - I have two Ajovy syringes at home in my fridge that I will not use. They expire in December 2021 and May 2022. I hate to throw them out at the pharmacy since someone else can surely use them. I know it's illegal to give prescription meds to anyone else, but is there any way to donate them?

  1. Hi @marylorraine, the safest bet would probably be to contact the manufacturer. You can reach their customer service department here: 888-TEVA-USA(888-838-2872) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST or email TevaCS@tevapharm.com. I hope that helps! -Warmly, Donna (team member)

    1. I just want to say that's super generous and sweet of you, . <3 I hope a good solution presents itself, and yes, please be careful. I would only give the medication to someone you know personally who is taking it, or who can be vouched for by someone you trust. Curious to see what you find out from the company. -Melissa, migraine.com team

      1. Thank you, Melissa! I heard back from them - they said they do not accept unused medication 🙁

        1. What a bummer, @marylorraine. This could have blessed someone. I am sorry that it didn't work out. Hugs, Shayla (Migraine.com, Team Member)

        2. Ugh, that's too bad. At least you tried! -Melissa, migraine.com team

      2. I will take them! I'm senior citizen and the shots are so expensive that many months I can't afford them.

        1. I wish I could - unfortunately it seems that it is not legal for me to do this 🙁
