I'm sorry for you having to deal with that. Your husband sounds great, but that is part of the marriage vows after all. In sickness and health. I know what your saying, though.

Had migraines for years, and now to the point at 29 years I had to sell my house and move in with my mom. Since she is retired and on fixed income I will be living with her until she is gone. This means the ability to date and find someone is crushed .... and I can barely keep myself alive let alone work on a relationship ..... guess I will die an old maid, oh well.

I have gotten to the point where I am just accepting that as well. I worked with a man that I had a good friendship with. He left the job and wanted to spend time with me. I really like him. He is attractive and fun. The day we were to go out, he had the whole day planned for us. I ended up with a headache and cancelled. Then he didn't talk to me for awhile. He thought I just didn't want to hang out with him. I don't want to give lame excuses. I would feel the same way if I liked a guy and every time we were to get together he said he didn't feel well. I would feel rejected too.

They have pretty much killed my social life. My weekends start with a pounding headache and nausea. I love to be outdoors, but am stuck inside and depressed. I will still try to go out, but usually end up heading home after a few hours.
I gave up dating, because you can't expect someone to keep trying to spend time with you, when you are always saying you have a headache and turning them down.
I am pretty much alone, except for my dogs and cat, and sometimes I can't even interact with them as much as I would like.

I've had migraines since I was 5,they became daily, chronic, intaractible migraines at 16 yrs of age. I'm now 48. So, 43 years with migraines is truly tough. Am i used to them? Let me say when I have a almost 24 hour pain free day, I'm shocked!
My partner is fairly supportive on my mild migraines, due to my anal ability to push myself to function and be a part of everything. When he gets stressed with work and I'm down with a major migraine, he gets cranky! Yes, I said, he gets cranky! I know he doesn't like to see me in pain, vomitting, dizziness, not eating, cant drive, not able to move out of bed. He feels helpless! I plainly remind him that I did not ask for this trial, yet if he's helpful and more supportive, it makes it easier to get through it. Today, I still have a mild migraine, yet the worst part of today is the migraine hangover. Nothing helps...
