Like what is even happening
Are yours like this? Idk if I need an IV, if I have like a sinus infection or something. Idk Are these migraines even related? Not sure what to do. If it returns 6 hours later, I’m gonna be concerned because this is unusual for me.

  1. Also I should mention: I started Nexium 20mg 2 weeks ago and was upped to 40mg for GERD coming back from 2 years ago, so could this be a potential reason? Going off it for now.

    1. Hi there- thanks so much for checking in. We are not health professionals here so cannot provide advice regarding how to proceed in manners such as these. What we do encourage is for people to pursue medical guidance when they are experiencing something that is new or unusual for them. It sounds like, from your description, this may be what is happening for you. Can you call your doctor's office to ask for help or is there a nurse line you can call for assistance? Warmly- Holly -migraine.com team.

  2. I suppose I can call tomorrow if it returns. Ty!

  3. Tysm! Today I just have an actual headache, I think. Oddly enough I do get migraines but never headaches lol. I’m wondering if I have a sinus infection. It is dull and pressure and in my forehead.

    1. , I'm glad you do not have a migraine attack! Depending on where you live this time of year, different allergens may pop up as the seasons begin to change. My husband has oak allergies that start kicking up in spring and then again in the fall. He can treat them mostly with OTC medications but has had several sinus infections due to the allergy flare. He also finds inhaling steam helpful. I hope you start feeling better soon. Warmly, Cheryl migraine.com team

  4. Ty! I hope it’s a sinus infection otherwise I’m worrying why my parents are so off. Hopefully it’s that!

    1. The latest variant of Covid appears to be presenting itself like allergies. My husband got it a couple of weeks ago and thought it was his allergies. He had no fever but just felt a little off. I had him take a test, and he was positive. Had we not done the test, he would have never known. He was basically asymptomatic. 2. I wanted to check in and see how you are doing? I hope you are feeling better!!
I did want to mention it's not uncommon to have sinus pain/pressure during a migraine. There are times when my gums, cheeks, sinus feel quite painful thanks to migraine. Let me share this article with you if you haven't seen it yet; https://migraine.com/migraine-types/sinus-migraine.
There is some conversation in the migraine/headache medical community about having sinus migraine added to the International Classification of Headache Disorders. Here is more information from the Association of Migraine Disorders; https://www.migrainedisorders.org/video/sinus-migraine/.
Let me know what you think! Nancy Harris Bonk, Patient Leader/Moderator Migraine.com Team
