Thank you for reaching out to our community and sharing you and your son's experiences. It's hard enough when we live with migraine, watching our children (no matter what age) in pain is unpleasant to say the least.
I don't experience visual aura, so as we wait for others to chime in, I'll share my thoughts and information. Is this a new and/or different symptom? Has he had visual aura with his migraine attacks before? If so, it's always a good idea to reach out to the doctor to make sure everything checks out OK.

As far as attacks occurring so close together, I wonder if it's the same attack that hasn't completely resolved. Having said that it's always best to check with the doctor as we don't give medical advice here.
I did want to mention migraine attacks and cluster headache attacks are two totally different beasts. Living with both can be challenging. Let me share this article that discusses the difference between migraine and cluster; https://migraine.com/living-migraine/cluster-explained.
If your son is still in pain today, I would reach out to his doctor and see how he/she can help break this nasty attack.
Please let me know how you both are doing, Nancy Harris Bonk, Patient Leader/Moderator Migraine.com Team
