I just wanted to know if any of you Migraine sufferers, have had MRIs of your brain and if so, how many of you have white spots (lesions)

Yes .... had two MRIs 6 months apart to determine if I had MS or not (horrible terrifying waiting for results) I have one white matter lesion on my frontal lobe (I think) and one in my cervical spine. But no change so MS ruled out. May be from migraines (most likely) or damage from a car accident I had a few months before the MRI. Too bad it didn’t happen until after so we had before and after images.

Thank you for your input!
I went to a MS specialist, lovely man, scary smart. He did ALL testing but a spinal… he told me, I had no systems, and said not to do the spinal…. to leave it alone unless I have symptoms… Also said, that most people don’t get MRIs of the brain, so they really don’t know how many have the lesions….

I have a few white lesions. My Dr's said it is not MS and they are from the migraines.

I have lesions - 2
They are near the right temporal lobe. My neurologist says they are not where she would expect to see lesions in someone with severe migraines.
So, we are in a "wait and see" mode.
Tamara, I also had been in a car accident, 20 years ago. My head hit the left side of the window. So maybe my brain hit the right side of my head. Interestingly, I now have a 2nd lesion that is much smaller.
No one seems to think is significant. I'm curious as to why. 3 weeks ago I had what my headache specialist called TGA Transient Global Amnesia. It was the first time that had ever happened to me before. I am 56 and have had severe migraines for 25+ years. Fun.
I had an EEG a 2 weeks later and nothing showed signficant on my EEG.

None for me on a plain MRI, I don't know if it would be different woth contrast. I was originally worked up for stroke and MS because of my symptoms.
