One eye crosses inward. Anyone else have this?

I have developed a new symptom of my migraines in the last year. I have had migraines most of my life some with aura and some without. I suddenly had my left eye turn inward and straitened out in about 20mins. I went to see opthalmologist and was told it is a new symptom of my migraines. They stopped for a while but recently started up again and more often now. Anyone else have this symptom? Should I be worried with this change?

  1. thanks for taking the time to share your experience here, although I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with this new symptom. You made the right decision by going to the ophthalmologist. The doctor is the one who can truly give an accurate and personalized evaluation of a symptom. Did it bring some validation when they were able to confirm it and give a reason behind it? Sometime having that feedback can be helpful. Of course I'm sure you'd rather not be experiencing it in the first place though. I'm sure others will join the conversation here, but in the meantime, i wanted to share a link with you that connects to all of our resources here on the site about eyes. If you skim down this page you might find a topic that stands out and might be relatable and hopefully helpful! https://migraine.com/search?s=eye

    1. And of course, if anything doesn't seem right to you, you can always seek a second opinion, to see if another doctor agrees with it being migraine-related. That may give you some peace of mind. Is it also affecting your vision? -Melissa, team member
