Mri results SCARED

Anyone had similar mri turned out to be not significant

"In the periventricular and subcortical white matter of both cerebral hemispheres with mainly subcortical localization, some variable-sized lesions are observed showing increased signal intensity on T2 and FLAIR-oriented sequences. They do not limit diffusion or take up the intravenously administered paramagnetic substance. have non-specific imaging characteristics. they could concern chronic micro-ischemic foci, as well as and/or non-specific foci related to headaches - migraines no obvious changes can be seen in the interlobular lobe, the optic thalamus, the basal ganglia and the structures of the posterior cranial fossa"

  1. I have read about white matter lesions before. My husband has had some small ones show up on his MRI as well. We have his documented and are monitoring them. His headache specialist said that they are common in people who have migraine disease. Each case will be specifically based on what you have going on, so having open, honest conversations with your treating doctor is essential. There is not too much related to this in our community, but here are a couple of links to articles that cover this topic. I hope they will help you better understand what you have going on and generate some questions to cover with your doctor.

    1. I do hear the concern related to lesions- however, this is something we've heard of from many in the past and is not necessarily something about which to be worried. If you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here for you. Do you have a follow up planned with your doctor? Warmly- Holly -migraine.com team.

    2. I have a lot of white lesions, but two different neurologists said they are nothing to be concerned about. Both said it's s common with migraineurs, especially with chronic migraines. Ask your doctor and trust his opinion. They were more concerned about my enlarged pituitary gland than the lesions. Good luck!

      1. thank you so much❤️❤️❤️
