I'm wondering who suggested this and what they've told you about it?

Lidocaine drops is a good way to test drive to see if this might be helpful. Injections aren't necessarily done anymore. There are a few newer methods to do this if it is really necessary. Most of the time it's not that helpful, but for some patients, it can be.
