    2. I have used 1000mgbof vitamin C. This has taken care of my light sensitivity with or without a migraine.

  2. The community poll for "which light source is troubling" says to select all that apply but only lets you select one option. All of them is my answer.

    1. Oh, thanks for pointing that out! I think that's something we can fix. I'll let the admin know. -Melissa, team member

    2. I fixed the poll (I think). Thanks again for letting us know! -Melissa, team member

  3. I love the brillliant sunshine of a clear day! But, for the past several months my light sensitivity has caused me great anxiety whenever I go outside. I keep lights off and block out curtains closed most of the time. It makes me feel so isolated and alone. My Dr tells me it is caused by dry eye, so I take 2 types of prescription eye drops daily. So far it hasn’t helped. My migraines have been nonexistent for 2 months! Now I’m afraid of letting any light in, fearing it will trigger an attack. I can stay positive because I trust the Lord, and His miraculous healing power! The JOY of the Lord is my strength! No acute migraine medication in 5 weeks! HALLELUJAH!✝️❤️✝️❤️✝️

    1. , my heart goes out to you. I can hear how much anxiety you have about the light sensitivity and how isolating it can be, especially if you're one who loves the sunshine! Is your doctor who prescribed the eye drops a specialist? I ask because I'm wondering if the eye drops aren't helping if the sensitivity is possibly due to something else - ie, your migraine.

How wonderful that your migraine attacks have been non existent for two months! That is wonderful news. Can I ask what it seems to be that has been helping them? Do you think it's been because you are avoiding the bright light? Have you ever tried any light-blocking glasses? One of our health leaders wrote about this in an article that might interest you, https://migraine.com/living-migraine/relief-light-sensitivity. (Do check out the comments from other community members as well because they have personal thoughts/ideas about it too.) Of course, everyone is different so just because these types of glasses help some people doesn't necessarily mean it will be the same for you, but I wanted to share it with you, just in case.

I can hear how much your faith brings you comfort and peace and am so glad that you've been doing so well migraine-wise.

    2. Not sure if you were aware, but we actually have a site for people with chronic dry eye. I wonder if they would have some resources for you as you try to figure all this out. The address is www.ChronicDryEye.net. Hoping you continue to make good progress! Hang in there. -Melissa, team member

  4. Here are a couple ideas. I have light filtering glasses for going outside. I have to have prescription glasses so I put the trasitions on them and it does help....just make sure your lenses are larger enough to actually help block bright light. Next, turn off all blue lights on phones, tablets and computers. It makes a huge difference. It takes a bit to get used to the color change but is so worth it. At night I struggle wiht other cars' headlights and street lights while driving. I got an extension to clip on the sun visor that I can flip down to filter the bright lights and I'm ok now. It's not perfect but a huge improvement. Good luck
