Simvastatin
My neurologist has recommended the statin "simvastatin " taken with vitamin d for my migraines. I'm 29 year old female.. and just a bit concerned about taking a statin at my age or in general.. I mean it's probably no better than the maxalt I'm popping.. but has anyone taken it or heard of it for migraines?
Hi Emily, I have been taking simvastatin for about 2.5 years now for my high cholesterol (I'm 33), and it has definitely not helped my migraines. I'm actually considering stopping it for a while to see if it may be triggering them. However, if I've learned anything, it's that everyone reacts differently to each drug.
