I've been getting Botox for a year and it's a miracle. I've been fighting migraine for 40 years - chronic, severe, almost daily migraines. With Botox I have mild attacks maybe 4 days a month. It does hurt a little, but a few minutes of discomfort compared to constant pain? I'll take the needles.
But now I'm in the middle of a fight with my insurance company. After paying for 4 treatments they've decided they don't want to pay for it because it's "experimental" and there's "no evidence it works." Both lies. It makes me very, very sad to know that there is hope right there, but I have to suffer because of somebody's arbitrary decision. My neurologist has filed a second appeal, so I hope to have some good news soon.
I know Botox doesn't work for everybody, but it's the only thing that's ever given me any relief. Good luck!
