Weird temple/forehead pressure

Hi, I have been suffering with constant pressure in my forehead/temples/eye/for around 9 weeks now. I sometimes have a headache, sometimes not. It’s usually not too bad when I wake up but after about 1.5hrs it gets worse. Every day the severity is different. Today it feels like a vice is squeezing my temples together. Been for CT and clear. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

  1. Hi shaneb,

I'm sorry you are going through this right now. Good to hear your scan was clear. Have you been back in touch with the doctor to let him/her know your head still hurts? If not I would encourage you to.

What about your eyes? Have you had them examined recently? I've had continuous head and neck pain since I fell in 1996, but that's a bit different. A TBI created that.

I'm sure others will be along soon to share their story with you.

    Please keep us posted,
    Nancy

    1. Oh yes, been to the doc a few times. Thought frontal sinuses were plugged but X-ray was clear. Optometrist last week, everything ok. I go to Neurologist next week..

  2. Hi shaneb,

Thank you for the update, good to hear you are covering all the bases.

    Will you keep me posted?
    Nancy

    1. this sounds exactly like what I have been going through since September 2020. Constant 24/7 pressure in my temples, back of head and neck, ct clean. Any news on the neurologist?

      1. I'm sorry you've been suffering from pressure in your temples and back of your head. I understand how that can be a literal pain! It's good that your CT was clear. What has your doctor suggested you try to relieve your symptoms? Warmly, Cheryl migraine.com team

    2. All tests came back clean too. Neurologist figures it is Chronic Migraines. I believe he said that they have no idea why these migraines start too. He started me on Amitryptylene and seems to have worked! I am only on 20mg. Doc said he’s seen people on 100mg 😮😮. I started on 10 and went up to 20 after a week or 2. Pressure was gone after a couple weeks.

I lost my 19yr old son in a car accident in October and stopped taking the pills not too long after cuz something was making me not feel that great and that the Amitryp...was all I was taking (was prob more the stress but) headaches and pressure started coming back about a month ago so started back on pills and seems to have worked!!

      1. I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your son. I'm sure that event alone probably amped up your stress levels as well as bringing on some depression perhaps. Both of those things are not good for migraines. I'm glad to hear you are getting good relief with amitriptyline. I hope you have very few migraine days! Warmly, Cheryl migraine.com team

      2. Hi ,

I am so very sorry to hear about your son, please accept my condolences.

I am happy to hear you are getting relief from amitriptyline, that's good news.

Looking forward to your next update - Nancy Harris Bonk, Patient Advocate/Moderator
