Wrapping my mind around migraine symptoms and episodes

Hello - I am new to the site. I have a daughter who has migraines. She is seeing a specialist, but what I find a challenge is how to track the information he wants to know when we go for an appointment. We have a spreadsheet but she is not very good at putting the information in it and gets frustrated when we keep bugging her to fill it out. Wondering if there is anything people are using to help organize and track migraine related information?
I am hoping by doing this, we may be able to see patterns to help my daughter understand her triggers, pinpoint potential causes, and possibly mitigate the severity of her migraines.
Any help would be appreciated.

  1. Hello HY84, thank you for reaching out. I hear how overwhelmed you feel, trying to get your daughter the help she needs to manage her migraine symptoms. Tracking symptoms and possible triggers can be a daunting process. Finding the system that is most helpful for her can take time to figure out. One thing that has helped many in the community is the Migraine Buddy app. Another member wrote a review about it that I thought it might be of interest to you:

Migraine.com does not have any vested interest, financial or otherwise in this app. I share it as a resource that might be helpful if your daughter is more inclined to use something on a device than in a spreadsheet format! Please keep us posted on how you are all managing. We are here to offer support anytime you need a friendly ear. Wishing you a gentle day. ~Allyson (Migraine.com team)
