My Childhood Diagnosis

I started having severe migraines at the age of 8, third grade, in 1955. The headache caused aura, including vision problems and vomiting. Thanks to my teacher, who suffered from migraines, and her recommendation to my parents, I received medical care, which led to my diagnosis and better understanding of my parents.

  1. Thank goodness for your teacher who understood and advocated for you, . It sounds like having a teacher who also personally experienced migraine really helped you get the medical care and support from your parents that you needed! We appreciate you sharing your diagnosis experience with us. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
