Seizure Free, But Not Migraine Free

I have had headaches since I was a teenager but wasn't diagnosed with migraines until a few years ago. They often occurred when I would have seizures, so I thought nothing of it. I have been seizure-free for 15+ years now but I still have migraines.

It wasn't until I approached my neurologist a few years ago that I learned how common that is. It is most frightening when my consciousness is altered and I end up in the hospital. In my opinion, it is more frightening than a seizure. Now that my family is aware of what is going on, they are able to help me.
